Course Details

This on-site course will make delegates aware of Safer Manual Handling for Young Adults with Physical Difficulties. Delegates will learn about the relevant legislation, including the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Mental Capacity Act; whilst also learning about the anatomy of the spine and muscular system, and the responsibilities within schools and settings. Course Content: ● What is moving and handling? ● Relevant Legislation including Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Manual Handling Operation Regulations 1992, Human Rights Act 1998, and the Mental Capacity Act. ● Responsibilities within schools and settings ● Risk assessment and care plan ● Anatomy of the spine and injuries ● Moving and handling techniques If no dates are available please call the team on 01782 438813 for available dates.
