Course Details

Level 3 Responding to Incidents with an AED (On-Site) Suitability This course is designed for those working in an environment where an AED is available and staff members need additional training in its use and maintenance. The qualification has been mapped to current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. Learners should be a minimum of 16 years to undertake this qualification. Description This qualification provides learners with skills and knowledge to use and carry out maintenance on AEDs. On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 Responding to Incidents with an AED Certificate, which is valid for 1 year from the date of assessment. Course content Assess and incident Provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty that is not breathing normally Provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty that is breathing normally Provide first aid to a casualty who is choking Understand the principles of using and maintaining an AED How is this course assessed? Delegates are assessed for the responding to incidents with an AED qualification with the following methods: Multiple Choice Question Paper Practical Observation
