Asbestos Bulk Material Sampling

Due to its versatility asbestos was thought to have been used in the formation of approximately 3500 different products, ranging from low risk items such as floor tiles and textured decorative coatings, to higher risk items including pipe insulation and sprayed coatings.

It is important that samples of suspected asbestos materials are taken correctly, because if taken incorrectly it could result in one or all of the following:

Exposure to asbestos fibres during or following the sampling exercise;

An inadequate amount of material obtained which may affect the integrity of the sample analysis results;

Cross contamination between samples leading to misleading sample analysis results.

We are able to assist and to carry out the sampling of suspected asbestos materials on your behalf. Sampled materials are submitted to a UKAS accredited testing laboratory, where analysis will provide confirmation as to whether or not asbestos is present. The turnaround of the sample analysis can be tailored to suit your needs which helps to ensure that delays can be minimised.
